Microwave sterilization

Microwave sterilization principle:

Microwave sterilization is the result of the combined action of thermal effect and biological effect of electromagnetic field. The thermal effect of microwave on bacteria is denaturation of protein, which makes bacteria lose nutrition, reproduction and survival conditions and die. The biological effect of microwave on bacteria is that microwave electric field changes the potential distribution of bacterial cell membrane cross section, affects the concentration of electrons and ions around the cell membrane, and changes the permeability of cell membrane. Therefore, bacteria are malnourished and cannot metabolize normally. The structure and function of bacteria are disordered, and the growth and development of bacteria are inhibited. In addition, nucleic acid (RNA) and deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA), which determine the normal growth and stable inheritance of bacteria, are curly macromolecules tightly connected by several hydrogen bonds. Microwave with enough strength can cause hydrogen bond relaxation, breaking and recombination, thus inducing genetic gene mutation or chromosomal aberration or even breaking.

Ultraviolet sterilization

UV principle:

Ultraviolet is the most lethal in the range of 240 ~ 280nm. It is easy to destroy the molecular structure of DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid) or RNA (ribonucleic acid) in bacteria and viruses, resulting in growth cell death and (or) regenerative cell death, so as to achieve the effect of sterilization and disinfection. Especially when the wavelength is 253.7, UV has the strongest bactericidal effect. This wave band coincides with the ultraviolet absorption and photochemical sensitivity range of deoxyribonucleic acid in microbial nucleus, so this wave band has the best germicidal effect.

Application scope of ultraviolet sterilization:

Air or surface water and liquid.

UV generation:

Ultraviolet lamp.

Features:

Low cost, cold sterilization, but narrow scope of application, only sterilization material surface, no penetration.
